Terms and Conditions for Purchasing CGNH Publications


Due to the number of customers who have purchased CGNH Publications and felt that they were receiving a printed version of said publication(s), this clause has been devised. Failure to read this clause is the responsibility of the the Customer (you) and not the purchasee (CGNH or Cherie King) and therefore means that no refunds will be granted because you claim not to have known you were receiving a download and not a printed copy.

You (which will hereto be referred to as the Customer ) realize, acknowledge, and accept that the Customer is purchasing a DOWNLOADABLE document and NOT a printed hard copy. The Customer understands that the Customer has to download the publication(s) of choice onto the Customer's computer. There is absolutely NO question in my mind about the fact that the Customer is purchasing a download.

The Customer realizes, acknowledges and accepts that when using a modem (dial-up) to download, any interruption in the Customer's phone line can cause a corrupted download and will not hold CGNH responsible if the Cutomer's computer will not accept the download.

The Customer also realizes, acknowledges and accepts that if purchasing any CGNH Publication that if PayPal is utilized as the payment method of choice, that the Customer may not receive the download information for 24 hours and acknowledges that this was and is also stated on the Order Page as located at http://herspecialhair.com/order.htm as well as http://herspecialhair.com/order2.htm.

Issues with Downloading

Under most circumstances, downloading a document is an easy, relatively quick way to promptly enjoy your purchase rather than waiting on having it shipped to you via "snail mail".  But sometimes, problems do occur with servers or with computer systems.  

If you DO download and you experience any problems, please remain calm, visit the contact page and allow up to 48 hours for a reply.  I will contact you soon to try and help you resolve the problem.  Remember, I am not a large corporation; I am one person, with a family, working from home !

Also, when you purchase a digital product Online such as a download, you are supposed to download it at the time of purchase.  I have had customers to order from work and think they can download it once they get home.  If you are not on a computer that you want to download from, please wait until you get to the computer that you wish to download and save the file to because the URL changes and you may not be able to access the file later.

Because downloads are supposed to be done at the time of purchase, if you do not see the download page or if problems with downloading occur , please contact me within 48 hours from the date of purchase so that I can be made aware of the problems.  I can't assist you unless you contact me and let me know what's going on.  

User should choose to download the file to their desktop to prevent misplacing the file once download is complete.

Download speed can be affected by:

  • Modem (Internet connection) speed

  • Processor speed

  • Amount of memory

  • Type of connection used (DSL, modem, etc.)
  • Time of day downloading takes place (peak hours for example)

Never download from the Internet to a floppy disk or CD-ROM.

 

Lost Documents

We realize that computer problems occur such as hard drive crashes, etc. However, CGNH is NOT responsible for data lost. It is advisable that you print the document(s) out soon after purchase as one of many means of providing a back up copy. We are under no obligation to replace lost files.

 

Refund Policy

CGNH Publications' policy on refunds is that we do NOT give refunds on downloadable documents. The reason for this is because downloads cannot be returned.

I cannot by any means verify that a customer deleted the file from their computer. Some individuals may purchase it and then "claim" they are not satisfied with it only to get a refund, all the while enjoying the information they received, at my expense.

There are only certain, "special" and rare circumstances that I can or will honor a refund request.

I know this seems like an unfair policy to have from a consumer's point of view, but this is what my partner (who happens to be a Computer Programmer/Software Developer) and I decided on.

When you go to a computer store and purchase software, once you open it, you cannot return it for a refund under any circumstance. The same applies here...once you purchase, refunds cannot be given on electronic goods.
